Kenya is situated on the eastern coast of Africa. The country is bordered by Sudan and Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east. To the southwest of Kenya lies Tanzania while to the west - Lake Victoria and Uganda. The Indian Ocean washes the southeastern part of the country. The terrain of Kenya is formed by the mountains, the Rift Valley with some volcanoes, green hills, flat deserts, and coral reefs. The highest point of the country lies in Mount Kenya, among other mountains - Mount Elgon and Mount Kilimanjaro. The Great Rift Valley, located in the central and western part of the country, dissects the Kenyan highlands into east and west. The climate of Kenya depends on the region. The coast is usually warm and humid, while the weather in central highlands is cool and humid. The northern and eastern parts of the country are characterized by hot and dry climate.
